The title says it all. Rich, full, round guitar tones albeit a bit short on originality. I find myself thinking that it is too bad it's so short.

This is a pretty good release by Vladislav Buben: Flying Frigates is about vibration, rhythm, frisky tones and fractals, backwards sucking sound, with an almost a kundalini-like feel to it. Think techno without the 4-to-the-floor. All track are fairly lengthy giving enough time to get into the mood and appreciate the subtleties.

In the last couple days, I have been starting my work day with Grey Surfaces from Off Land on the net label Resting Bells. Soothing yet fresh drone landscapes.

Tim Gerwing and Friends will be performing live in Vancouver on January 21st 2006, at the Western Front.

The 365 Days Project

Keywords:

The 365 Days Project was produced in 2003 [update: and in 2007], by Otis Fodder. The concept behind it is quite simple: release one sound file per day for the year 2003, starting on January first. The challenge resulted not only in maintaining the daily posting, but also offering obscure (and for the most part out-of-print) recordings.

Here is a sample list of some of the most intriguing sound files. The whole project can be found on UbuWeb.
